Overview

Our client is a multi-disciplined environmental company providing high-quality health and safety consultancy to clients throughout the UK. The company is currently seeking experienced, hardworking Health & Safety Consultant to cover contracts in and around the Liverpool area. The ideal candidate will be a chartered member ofH (CMIOSH) and hold a NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification. Applications from Birkenhead, Ellesmere Port, St Helens, Wigan and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong technical, consultancy, management, or auditing background in asbestos, legionella or related areas.
  • Relevant NEBOSH – CMIOSH certificates; Health & Safety qualifications are essential.
  • Practical working experience in asbestos, legionella, fire or related industries.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to organise own workload and presentations.
  • Fully conversant with Health & Safety legislation, policies & procedures.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office package.
  • Extensive travelling involved – must have a flexible attitude to work.
Main Responsibilities
  • Attend sites to carry out inspections relating to the Health & Safety performance of the teams.
  • Undertake Health & Safety risk assessments and address all arising issues.
  • Carry out Health & Safety, Staff and Compliance audits.
  • Provide technical support to the company’s clients.
  • Produce comprehensive Audit, Health & Safety and Environmental reports.
  • Conduct Safety Training courses.
