A leading property and construction consultancy is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to provide expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will deliver health & safety services and CDM advice to clients. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000, plus travel expenses, and the flexibility of a hybrid work model. Candidates should have NEBOSH Construction and strong knowledge of CDM regulations.

Carriera is excited to be working with an award winning Health & Safety/ CDM practice which is based in Whitchurch, Shropshire. Our client is going through an exciting period of growth and is looking to develop its established team with the addition of H&S professionals providing a health & safety service and CDM advisory service to clients across the built environment.

The successful candidates will be working on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, retail, leisure, industrial, education and demolition projects on a regional and national basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious H&S/ CDM Advisor to join a forward thinking independent consultancy. Our client offers a hybrid working environment, with expectations that you are in the office 3 days per week to collaborate with the team.

Our client would also consider H&S professionals with an excellent understanding of CDM regulations who are employed by Principal Contractors but looking to move into the world of consultancy.

Responsibilities
  • Offer a variety of health & safety services to a diverse client base.
  • Manage the H&S file from project inception through to completion.
  • Review of construction phase plans and maintain pre construction information.
  • Oversee Design Risk Assessment reviews.
  • Attend design team and client meetings and raise any issues with project design.
  • Provide a CDM Advisor and Advisor to the Principal Designer service to clients.
  • Carryout site safety inspections and site safety audits.
  • Develop new and existing client relationships.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
  • Professional membership to IOSH and APS (desirable).
  • Good knowledge and hands on experience of 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
