Qualifications

• Good all-round education (e.g., 2 GCSEs at grade 4+ including English) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a customer or patient services environment.
• Experience of using a telephone as a regular means of communication at work.
• Experience of using computerised systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer a wide range of calls from everyday health concerns to real emergencies.
• Support callers who are in distress.
• Guide worried parents and help callers recognise signs of a serious condition.
• Support colleagues in the team.
• Contribute to delivering patient care.
