Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Otterbourne is seeking an NHS 111 Health Advisor for a part-time role. You'll handle a wide range of calls, guiding people through urgent and non-urgent situations with empathy and clear communication.

Training includes a full 6-week NHS Pathways programme. The role requires 18+, right to work in the UK, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The team emphasises wellbeing and patient care.

Qualifications

• Good all round education (i.e. 2 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English)
• NHS Pathways Trained
• Experience in a customer/patient services environment
• Experience of using computerised systems
• Experience of using a telephone as a regular means of communication
• Experience in a call centre environment
• Geographical knowledge of the operational area
• Experience of working rotating shifts
• Previous experience in the health sector or patient care
• Knowledge of first aid and/or anatomy

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of calls from health concerns to emergencies, guiding people calmly
• Support distressed callers and identify signs of serious conditions
• Contribute to a high standard of patient care and wellbeing for callers
• Participate in training and uphold safeguarding requirements
