Following the retirement of the current head teacher in December 2025, the governing board of this highly regarded 3-form entry primary school are inviting applications for the position of head teacher. We are looking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated and dedicated head teacher.
New Oscott Primary School is a “big school with a big heart” (Ofsted, 2023) and we are looking for a similarly big-hearted, enthusiastic and inclusive head teacher who will share our ambition for our school and for all our pupils, both academically and personally. You will have experience of all stages of the primary curriculum, the skills to lead a large primary school and be looking for the next challenging, but rewarding, step in your career.
As part of the Schools Rebuilding Programme, we look forward to moving into a brand-new school building in Autumn 2025, and with the potential of joining a multi-academy trust in the coming months, we are seeking an expert leader who will relish the opportunity to lead our school through an exciting new chapter. You will be well equipped to address the challenges of significant change, and simultaneously recognise and embrace the opportunities it brings. As an experienced people manager, you will know how to support our school community, pupils, staff and parents, through this change and continue to improve academic standards, maximise opportunities and experiences for pupils and maintain staff wellbeing.
Your proven dedication to staff and pupil wellbeing and personal development, to quality of education and to a broad and balanced curriculum will mean every New Oscott pupil continues to develop confidence and resilience and “all children have their time to shine” (Pupil voice, Ofsted, 2023)
