Location: Balsall Heath, Birmingham
Salary: 110- 140 per day, Depending on qualifications and experience
Contract Type: Full-time (Term-time only available)

We are looking for a committed and compassionate HLTA to work with pupils with SEMH needs in the B12 area of Birmingham.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners who may not thrive in mainstream education, helping them to rebuild confidence, achieve academic goals, and develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 or small-group sessions across core subjects (English, Maths, Science).
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs, emotional regulation levels and learning styles of each pupil.
Build trusting relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviour or have experienced trauma.
Collaborate with SENCOs, teaching staff and external professionals to track progress and support wider development.
Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and a positive attitude to learning.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children and young people with SEMH or SEN.
Strong subject knowledge in core curriculum areas.
A nurturing, patient and flexible approach to teaching.
Understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and behaviour management.
Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or relevant tutoring/mentoring experience.
