Job summary

Creature Comforts is seeking a commercially minded Practice Manager to lead non-clinical operations, financial performance, and team development across clinics. You will partner with clinical directors, manage hosts and support staff, and ensure smooth daily running while upholding brand standards.

The role emphasizes operational efficiency, staff development, and delivering exceptional client experiences, with a focus on growth, compliance, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Operational management track record, ideally in veterinary/healthcare
• Experience in financial management, including P&L, budgeting and payroll
• HR experience, including performance management, conflict resolution and employee relations
• Desirable: multi-site or growing business experience
• Desirable: knowledge of veterinary sector

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical and non-clinical team members and develop the team
• Oversee day-to-day practice operations and workflows
• Design staff rotas to maximise capacity and wellbeing
• Serve as primary contact for complex operational issues and implement solutions
• Collaborate with Central Office on brand, marketing, and clinic feedback
• Read KPIs and clinic P&L to identify trends and opportunities
• Support revenue growth, cost control, and client experience
• Ensure health and safety, GDPR, and regulatory compliance
• Handle client complaints professionally and maintain high service standards
• Support Virtual Care Team shifts as needed
