Job summary

The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is seeking an exceptional Head of Policy and Technical Expertise. Reporting to the Corporate Director of Service Experience, this role leads policy translation into service requirements and trusted guidance for customer-facing services.

You’ll oversee a team of specialists, shape strategic responses to legislation and regulation, and collaborate with government, regulators, industry bodies and senior leaders to improve financial wellbeing across the UK.

Qualifications

• Significant senior experience in money and/or pensions policy.
• Ability to translate complex legislation into strategic direction and service requirements.
• Proven track record influencing government, regulators, industry bodies and senior leaders.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and building an inclusive, high-performing culture.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex legislation and market developments into strategic recommendations and guidance.
• Lead a focused team of policy and technical experts.
• Bridge policy intent, customer need and service delivery to ensure trusted guidance.
