Allwyn is seeking a senior leader to head Participant Interests, shaping strategy that safeguards players and supports commercial growth. You will drive regulatory compliance, customer insight and digital innovation while aligning with licence requirements and industry best practices.

You will partner with Product, Digital, Marketing and Commercial teams to design responsible customer experiences and lead cross‑functional governance, presenting clear reports to executives and the Gambling

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading customer protection or consumer risk strategies using data and external best practice.
  • Excellent understanding of consumer protection and the gaming industry.
  • Experience developing strategies and presenting clear reports to executives.
  • Involvement in meetings with senior management, including leading discussions.
  • Ability to analyse data at a high level and manage projects.
  • Knowledge of external benchmarks and stakeholder engagement.

  • Lead the Participant Interests strategy by combining regulatory excellence, customer insight, digital innovation and external best practice.
  • Act as the organisation's expert on trends, regulation, responsible play and player wellbeing.
  • Develop and embed Participant Interests strategy aligned to best practice.
  • Partner with Product, Digital, Marketing and Commercial teams to design responsible customer experiences.
  • Provide independent challenge to commercial teams balancing growth with protection obligations.
  • Lead annual planning and development of the Participant Interests team.
  • Line manage Senior Participant Interests Managers and ensure governance compliance.
  • Prepare materials for Executives, Board and Gambling Commission.
  • Deliver plans on time, to high quality and on budget.
  • Ensure plans meet licence conditions and unlock growth opportunities.

Job description

  • Lead Allwyn's Participant Interests strategy by combining regulatory excellence, customer insight, digital innovation and external best practice to create safe, sustainable player experiences that support commercial growth and maximise returns to Good Causes
  • Act as the organisation's expert on emerging external trends, regulation, responsible play, digital consumer protection and player wellbeing, translating insights into strategy and action
  • Develop and embed Participant Interests strategy and plans aligned to international best practice
  • Partner with Product, Digital, Marketing and Commercial teams to design responsible‑by‑design customer experiences and identify opportunities that drive customer trust, engagement and sustainable growth
  • Provide independent challenge and strategic guidance to commercial teams, balancing growth initiatives against participant protection obligations, customer wellbeing considerations and reputational risk
  • Lead on the evaluation and improvement of the Participant Interests plan
  • Work cross‑functionally to embed Participant Interests initiatives and requirements aligned to strategy and licence requirements
  • Lead the Participant Interests team’s annual planning process and strategic development
  • Line manage the two Senior Participant Interests Managers responsible for day‑to‑day delivery
  • Ensure cross‑functional projects comply with the Responsible Gaming Framework and strategy
  • Ensure key internal and external stakeholders and governance groups are included in decision making and kept up to date with progress
  • Propose agendas, prepare materials and brief Executives ahead of external stakeholder meetings
  • Utilise data, behavioural insight and technology to measure effectiveness and develop innovative participant protection interventions
  • Lead functional compliance and risk activities
  • Prepare high‑quality materials for Executive‑level forums, the Board and Gambling Commission
  • Deliver overall plans on time, to a high quality and on budget
  • Ensure the Participant Interests plan meets licence conditions and unlocks growth opportunities
  • Complete risk and compliance activities on time and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
Requirements
  • Proven track record of leading customer protection, responsible play or consumer risk strategies, leveraging data, insight and external best practice to influence business outcomes
  • An excellent understanding of consumer protection practices and the gaming industry
  • Experience in developing strategies
  • Experienced at presenting information and constructing clear reports and persuasive arguments
  • Involvement in meetings with senior and executive management, including leading discussions
  • Ability to analyse data at a high level
  • Previous experience of managing and leading projects
  • Knowledge and practical experience of working with external benchmarks
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
