Job summary

Buzz Bingo is seeking an AML & Safer Gambling Officer to join the Risk & Compliance team in a hybrid, full-time role. You will conduct risk assessments, lead EDD investigations, and ensure safe play while collaborating with various teams.

The role offers salary up to £30,000 plus annual bonus, with a flexible 5-of-7 schedule including weekends. You will bring proven AML experience in regulated environments, strong knowledge of POCA, TACT, LCCP, GDPR, and hands-on CDD/EDD expertise.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Player Protection within a regulated environment (iGaming, Bingo, Casino, or Finance).
• Strong regulatory knowledge: POCA, TACT, LCCP, GDPR, and the Gambling Act.
• Hands-on experience with Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
• Excellent communication with empathy for sensitive conversations.
• Attention to detail and proactive investigative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and forensic profiling of customer accounts.
• Investigate escalated cases of fraudulent activity and suspicious behaviour.
• Engage with customers to understand circumstances and promote safe play.
• Lead EDD investigations, including Source of Funds/Wealth reviews.
• Maintain records and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
• Collaborate with retail and digital teams to improve safer gambling.
• Present findings to governance meetings and support policy improvements.

Location: Hybrid
Department: Risk & Compliance
Type: Full-time - working a flexible schedule of 5 days out of 7, including shifts that include weekends and may end as late as 9:00pm.

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum plus annual bonus (depending on company performance)

What You ll Be Doing

• Conducting risk assessments and forensic profiling of customer accounts
• Investigating escalated cases of fraudulent activity and suspicious behaviour
• Engaging with customers to understand their circumstances and ensure safe play
• Leading Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) investigations, including Source of Funds/Wealth reviews
• Maintaining accurate records and completing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
• Collaborating with retail and digital teams to create a seamless safer gambling experience
• Presenting findings to senior governance meetings and contributing to policy improvements

What You ll Bring

• Proven experience in Player Protection within a regulated environment (iGaming, Bingo, Casino, or Finance)
• Strong understanding of key regulations: POCA, TACT, LCCP, GDPR, and the Gambling Act
• Hands-on experience with Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and EDD procedures
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy
• A sharp eye for detail and a proactive, investigative mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team

Desirable Extras

• ICA Certificate in KYC, CDD, or AML
• Experience compiling reports and presenting findings to senior stakeholders
