Job summary

NHS Supply Chain is seeking a Head of EPMO to lead the enterprise PMO during a major transformation, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and robust governance across major programmes.

You will partner with the Executive, oversee the Investment Forum and 2030 Oversight Forum, and deliver data-driven portfolio intelligence to enable timely decisions and measurable impact for patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading an Enterprise PMO in a large, complex organisation.
• Experience managing £100m+ transformation portfolios, including digital ERP transitions.
• Ability to translate the NHS Long Term Plan into actionable portfolio roadmaps.
• Strong capability in converting data into executive insights and storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and guidance to invest in the right change initiatives by aligning the portfolio to strategic priorities.
• Leads Investment Forum to give senior leaders confidence that project investments are realistic, affordable and deliverable.
• Leads the 2030 Executive Oversight Forum with risk mitigation and interdependency management.
• Delivers high quality portfolio intelligence, analytics and reporting for timely, evidence-based decisions to the Board.
• Drives consistent delivery practices and standardisation through PPM tooling and governance frameworks.
• Ensures benefits realisation and value optimisation across transformation programmes.
• Builds a high performing PMO culture and end-to-end delivery capability.
