Job summary

NHS Supply Chain is seeking a Head of EPMO in a strategic leadership role based in Nottingham with hybrid working. You will lead an Enterprise PMO to define, govern and oversee the NHS SC Change Portfolio, ensuring multi-year transformation initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the NHS 10-Year Plan.

You will partner with senior leaders, drive portfolio intelligence, and embed disciplined delivery practices to improve outcomes and accountability across the system.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading an Enterprise PMO in a large, complex organisation.
• Experience translating strategic plans into actionable portfolio roadmaps for delivery.
• Strong ability to drive benefits realisation and value optimisation.
• Advanced understanding of PPM methodologies (MoP, MSP, PRINCE2, Agile/Hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office to deliver complex transformation initiatives on time and within budget.
• Governance and oversight of the NHS SC Change Portfolio.
• Produce portfolio intelligence, analytics and reporting for Executive & Board decisions.
• Drive standardisation of delivery practices and use of PPM tooling.
• Champion benefits realisation and value optimisation across programmes.
