Job summary

NHS Supply Chain is hiring a Head of EPMO to lead the end-to-end definition, governance, and oversight of the Change Portfolio. You will steer a high-performing Enterprise Portfolio Management Office to ensure multi-year transformations are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the NHS 10-Year Health Plan.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading an Enterprise PMO in a large, complex organisation (public sector or similar)
• Experience aligning portfolio with strategic priorities and ensuring delivery across directorates
• Strong ability to translate strategy into actionable portfolio roadmaps and to manage interdependencies

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to ensure the portfolio investments align with strategic priorities and maximise value
• Lead the Investment Forum with senior leaders to ensure realistic, affordable project investments
• Guide the 2030 Executive Oversight Forum with risk mitigation and integrated planning across major initiatives
• Deliver high-quality portfolio intelligence, analytics and reporting for timely, evidence-based decision making
• Drive standardisation of delivery practices through unified PPM tooling and common methodologies
• Ensure benefits realisation and value optimisation from business case through delivery
• Foster capability building to create an agile PMO and resilient delivery capability
