Job description

Head of eCommerce

Location – Ashford, Kent (hybrid 1 -2 days p/week)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of eCommerce to join our Marketing and Digital Leadership Team. Reporting into the Marketing and Digital Director you will manage the eCommerce team and key partners, being responsible for the sales performance, customer experience, development and optimisation of the eCommerce platform.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Enhance the customer experience by creating an intuitive and frictionless sales process that drives business growth
  • Work closely with cross functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Digital, Merchandising, Commercial, Design and external development, technology and testing partners to improve the eCommerce platforms features and functionalities
  • Key targets include ease and retention of customer orders, basket size growth and consolidation, positive differentiation vs. competitor, transformation based on customer order trends, and ongoing digitisation of our sales.

What we are looking for:

  • In depth understanding of ecommerce best practices, sales funnels and customer behaviours in online shopping
  • Previous experience in a similar position with proven analytical skills to use data and customer insights to drive designs and optimize product performance
  • Experience working with designers and developers to create intuitive, customer-friendly interfaces
  • Experience of leading a team, providing guidance, training and motivation to achieve the business ecommerce objectives
  • Proven ability to manage the full product lifecycle from ideation to execution
