We’re looking for a Head of eCommerce to join our team to oversee and drive our global strategy and growth.

What you’ll be doing:

As the Head of eCommerce, you will be responsible for driving the overall online sales strategy, customer acquisition, retention, and digital experience. You will lead the eCommerce team, optimize the online sales funnel, and leverage data-driven insights to accelerate revenue growth. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and hands-on execution to scale our direct-to-consumer (DTC) business.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the eCommerce strategy to drive revenue growth, profitability, and customer engagement.
  • Website Management: Oversee the performance, UX/UI, and functionality of the eCommerce website, ensuring a high-converting user experience
  • Product and Technology: Co-create the eCommerce (web & app) roadmap with the Product and Technology teams to optimise the customer journey & experience
  • Digital Marketing & Growth: Work closely with the marketing team to optimize paid media, SEO, email marketing, and social commerce strategies.
  • Customer Journey & Retention: Enhance customer experience and retention through personalization, loyalty programs, and CRM strategies.
  • Conversion Optimization: Leverage A/B testing, data analytics, and CRO techniques to improve website performance and conversion rates.
  • eCommerce Operations: Collaborate with supply chain, fulfillment, and customer service teams to ensure a smooth end-to-end online shopping experience.
  • Analytics & Performance Tracking: Set KPIs, monitor performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales and profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead an eCommerce team, fostering a culture of innovation and performance.
  • Technology & Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, exploring new tools, platforms, and digital innovations to enhance eCommerce capabilities.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in an eCommerce leadership role within a DTC business; experience at a fast growth startup/scale up is a huge plus
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (Shopify a must-have, Dato highly desirable)
  • Expertise in website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Heap, etc.) and A/B testing
  • Track record of scaling online sales, optimizing conversion rates, and improving customer lifetime value (LTV)
  • Experience with performance marketing, retention strategies, and omnichannel commerce
  • Experience collaborating with Product and Technology teams to improve the eCommerce experience on web and app
  • Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Passion for digital commerce, customer experience, and brand growth.

Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 based on experience

What you can expect from Yoto:

  • Flexibility: Hybrid working with a choice based approach - we would love you to come into the office as much as possible, with a minimum of once or twice a month, ideally once a week. Take advantage of our ‘work from anywhere’ policy to work from a different location for up to 6 weeks every year. Summer Hours policy to use between the months of June and August.
