Job summary

House Of Fashion Associates in Manchester seeks a Head of Design for premium bedding and bathroom textiles. You will lead a small design team, shape the product portfolio for UK and export markets, and work closely with retailers such as John Lewis and Harrods.

You will use CAD tools (AVA, Illustrator, Photoshop) to develop trend-led designs, manage samples, and present concepts to customers and internal stakeholders, travelling globally as needed.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in home textiles, premium bedding and bathroom.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small design team and manage a busy workload.
• Develop and present CAD-based designs and mood boards to retailers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Product Development and Marketing to align designs with brand strategy.
• Spearhead trend research and translate trends into product concepts for UK and export markets.
• Oversee sample development and factory submissions to ensure exact specifications.
• Travel to supplier visits and trade shows as required.
