Job summary

House Of Fashion Associates is seeking a hands-on Head of Design for premium bedding and bathroom textiles. Based in Manchester, you will lead a small team, work with major retailers, and coordinate with directors to ensure efficient bulk production.

We require strong CAD skills (AVA, Illustrator, Photoshop), a degree, and 6+ years in premium home textiles, with willingness to travel globally to source fabrics and present at trade shows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in home textiles, premium bedding and bathroom.
• Hands-on leadership with a small team.
• Experience in premium brand textiles and working with retailers.
• Degree-level education.
• Willingness to travel globally.
• Experience planning and dressing trade fairs is an advantage.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Hands-on design role within the business and role.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team and drive premium bedding/bathroom collections.
• Collaborate with Head of Product/ directors for bulk production.
• Build a growing home textile portfolio for target channels and geographies.
• Source fabrics and techniques through overseas supplier visits and trade shows.
• Drape trade shows/showrooms with compelling CAD-based visuals.
• Create packaging CADs and care labels to support product development.
• Present confidently to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Work on UK and export market designs, mindful of timelines and budgets.
• Provide inspiration to marketing to inform product copy.
