Job summary

House Of Fashion Associates in Manchester seeks a Home Textiles Head of Design to lead premium bedding and bathroom collections. You will manage a small team, shape concept through CADs, and collaborate with product and marketing to align with brand strategy.

The role requires strong CAD skills (AVA, Illustrator, Photoshop), a keen eye for colour, and readiness to travel globally for fabric sourcing and trade fairs. Degree-educated with 6+ years in premium textiles is preferred.

Qualifications

Educated to degree level; strong design pedigree required.
Minimum 6 years’ experience in home textiles, premium bedding and bathroom.
Hands-on in current role with leadership of small team.

Responsibilities

Lead design across bedding and bathroom categories for UK/export markets.
Collaborate with Head of Product and directors to ensure bulk production efficiency.
Sourcing fabrics and techniques via suppliers and trade fairs.
Dressing trade shows and showrooms in the UK and abroad.
Provide CADs for packaging such as care labels and inserts.
Present concepts confidently to customers and internal stakeholders.
Work on own brand portfolio and exclusive designs for key customers.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of textile design trends and production tech.
