Head of Credit Risk - Mortgages

Our client is seeking an interim Head of Credit Risk with strong mortgage experience. This is a short-term contract role with an immediate start.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience working within mortgages
• Practical experience managing credit risk throughout the credit lifecycle
• Experience with expert, judgmental, portfolio, and modelled approaches to credit risk management
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and embed risk management frameworks, collaborating with internal and external partners
• Experience enhancing management information capabilities for oversight and decision-making
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment related to credit risk and understanding of UK banking and financial services trends and upcoming regulatory changes
• Experience leading continuous improvements in business-as-usual activities
• Prior experience presenting to Boards, Non-executive Directors, or regulators
• Ability to promote a positive risk culture within teams and the organization
