Head of Credit Risk - Mortgages

Our client is seeking an Interim Head of Credit Risk with extensive mortgages experience. This is a short-term contract role with an immediate start.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience working within mortgages
• Proven practical experience managing credit risk throughout the credit cycle
• Experience with expert and judgmental lending approaches, as well as portfolio/modelled approaches to managing credit risk
• Experience developing, implementing, and embedding risk management frameworks, collaborating with internal teams and external partners
• Experience enhancing management information capabilities for oversight and decision-making
• Understanding of the regulatory environment related to credit risk and knowledge of UK banking/financial trends and upcoming regulatory changes
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in business-as-usual operations
• Prior experience presenting to Boards, Non-executive directors, or regulators
• Ability to promote a positive risk culture within teams and organizations
