The Head of Claims Strategic Operations is a key member of the MRS-GM Claims Leadership Team, responsible for leading the Claims Department through its transformation to support rapid business growth across Europe and APAC, system changes, and integration initiatives. This role focuses on driving claims system and process integration, establishing streamlined infrastructure, and building in-house claims operations, including standardizing systems, data, and processes to enhance claims management and reduce redundancies.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the Claims Department through reorganization and integration, developing strategies, priorities, and KPIs.
  2. Collaborating with the Syndicate Claims Operations team to optimize core functionalities and operational efficiency.
  3. Implementing changes in systems, data, and processes to support business growth and improve visibility for management.
  4. Building innovative system functionalities to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  5. Partnering with various departments to align operational objectives and lead related workstreams.
  6. Overseeing reporting requirements and staying informed on regulations and market trends.
  7. Evaluating legacy systems for optimal functionality and customer service delivery.
  8. Communicating initiatives, project statuses, and issues to senior management.
  9. Promoting good conduct and understanding escalation responsibilities related to conduct risk.

Knowledge and Skills required include:

  • BA or higher degree, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above preferred.
  • 10-12 years of operations experience, with at least 5 years in P&C claims.
  • Proven success in strategic initiatives and process optimization.
  • Experience with enterprise systems, automation, and best practices.
  • Deep knowledge of P&C/ Specialty claims operations.
  • Leadership in organizational change and team management.
  • Strong collaboration, analytical, and reporting skills.
