Job Purpose:
Following sustained growth over the last 5 years, we require a Head of Business Development to drive sales and marketing activities aligned with our key business objectives. The role involves developing and overseeing our commercial strategy in collaboration with the Directors to prioritize and execute projects that facilitate growth.
We welcome candidates with a range of experience; we value potential as well as experience. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, outgoing, and possess strong branding, marketing, sales, and customer relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop our existing commercial strategy with our Directors to surpass growth targets
- Lead the business development team to increase leads, conversion rates, and manage the sales pipeline to achieve income growth across our product portfolio
- Drive income growth by leveraging market, industry, and economic opportunities in line with set targets, budgets, and KPIs
- Provide research and insights to promote innovation and thought leadership; participate in sector discussions, interest groups, and external research activities
- Act as an ambassador for PARCOR through presentations, speaking engagements, networking, and stakeholder relationship building
- Create and manage social media strategies and campaigns, supporting content creation to position PARCOR as a thought leader (blogs, press releases, literature)
- Research and secure new business tenders, frameworks, DPS, and accreditations
- Organize and coordinate business and social events
- Build and promote the corporate brand as a brand ambassador
- Collaborate with teams and departments to direct business development activities and sector penetration efforts
- Manage relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders
- Coach and manage team members to ensure effective lead generation and sales processes
- Develop market and sector knowledge, understanding client needs
- Participate in senior management meetings, contribute to organizational strategy, and be involved in project teams and business planning
- Coordinate with other departments for new product/service launches and value proposition articulation
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related fields
- MBA or equivalent qualification
- Experience in Social Housing, Surveying, and Retrofit sectors
- Brand building capabilities
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally towards shared goals
- Team collaboration skills
- Copywriting and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Proactive in identifying marketing and business opportunities
- Experience in sales pipeline management and business development
- Proven track record of revenue growth in similar roles
- Understanding of sales processes and sector networks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Public speaking and presentation skills
