Job Title: Business Development Manager - Industrial Automation

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated professional with strong expertise in electromechanics, electronics, geared motors, variable speed drives, single-axis servo applications, and conveyor systems. You will play a pivotal role in accelerating business growth and strengthening the company’s competitive position.
Responsibilities:
Identifying New Business Opportunities:
- Proactively seek and identify new business prospects within the industrial automation sector, focusing on electromechanics, geared motors for a range of industries and target markets.
- Target new customers in the UK market, emphasizing opportunities when new technology solutions can make a substantial impact.
- Expand our client’s customer base through strategic partnerships and relationship-building efforts, ensuring sustainable business growth.
Project Acquisition:
- Lead efforts in securing new projects, ensuring a healthy sales funnel with exciting new opportunities.
- Develop and present tailored automation solutions that address client needs, leveraging expertise in motion control, variable speed drives, and single-axis servo applications.
Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, including OEMs and system integrators.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their business goals and challenges, and offering expert guidance on automation solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless transition from lead generation to customer success.
Market Expansion & Competitive Positioning:
- Utilize deep technical knowledge of automation technologies and market trends to position the company ahead of competitors, particularly in the UK market.
- Develop and implement targeted strategies to enhance the company’s market presence and sales growth.
Industry Networking & Events:
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to showcase our client's solutions and stay abreast of emerging trends.
- Engage with industry stakeholders, fostering visibility and brand awareness for the company.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a similar field.
- Proven experience in industrial automation sales, particularly in motion control systems, geared motors, variable speed drives, and servo applications.
- Strong technical understanding of electromechanics and automation systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with a range of stakeholders, from engineers to C-level executives.
- Natural sales ability, with a focus on proactive business development and solution selling.
- Experience in selling to OEMs and working with intralogistics and handling applications – Beneficial.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of closing deals effectively.

- Experience in industrial automation and or Factory automation, with a particular focus on motion control, geared motors, variable speed drives, and servo applications.
- A proven track record in new business development, particularly in the UK market.
- A deep understanding of intralogistics and handling applications.
- A genuine passion for innovation, sales, and making a difference in a growing company.
