Job summary

Nala Recruitment are partnering with a welcoming nursery in Stoke-on-Trent to appoint an experienced Nursery Manager. You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure high standards of care and education, and support staff and families.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant Level 3+ Early Years qualification, have strong EYFS knowledge, and demonstrate leadership, communication and safeguarding expertise to drive continuous improvement and staff development.

Qualifications

• A relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification is required.
• Experience in a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or senior Early Years leadership role is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures are essential.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Lead, support and develop the nursery team.
• Ensure the highest standards of care, education and safeguarding.
• Support the delivery of a high-quality Early Years curriculum.
• Create an environment where children build confidence, resilience and independence.
• Ensure the nursery meets EYFS, safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and families.
• Collaborate with the Deputy Manager and wider nursery team.
• Support staff development through supervision and training.
• Monitor teaching, learning and care quality across the nursery.
• Manage nursery policies, procedures and compliance.
• Support recruitment, induction and performance management of staff.
• Respond to queries from parents professionally.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the nursery.
