LJ Recruitment is recruiting for a Head Housekeeper at a busy Washington site on a permanent, full-time basis. The role oversees the housekeeping function, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and compliance with standards while leading a motivated team.

The successful candidate will manage scheduling, training, and performance to deliver a top-quality guest experience in a fast-paced environment. Salary is £33,280 per annum, with 40 hours per week and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory housekeeping role in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Confidence in using IT systems for scheduling, reporting and team management.
• Experience delivering training and maintaining health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the housekeeping team to meet high service standards.
• Build strong relationships with hotel management and staff.
• Conduct regular room and floor inspections for quality control.
• Monitor site budgets and contribute to cost efficiency.
• Report weekly performance updates to the Operations Manager.
• Oversee recruitment, training and development of the on-site team.
• Ensure staff are trained, productive and supported with coaching.
