Job summary

Solent Hotel & Spa in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead our busy Housekeeping team and ensure guest rooms are immaculate and welcoming. You will oversee cleanliness standards, train and mentor staff, and respond to guest requests with professionalism.

This role requires strong leadership, calmness under pressure, and a proven track record in housekeeping supervision. We offer a supportive environment with progression opportunities and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Ideally you will have previous supervisory or management experience, ideally within a Housekeeping function
• Ability to communicate at all levels, including with your team and across the property
• Keep calm under pressure and react effectively to unexpected circumstances

Responsibilities

• Implement cleanliness and presentation standards for rooms
• Mentor and guide the housekeeping team to maintain high standards
• Respond to guest requests and rectify issues promptly
• Ensure tasks are completed within set time frames
• Ensure procedures are followed across the team
• Induct and train new team members
• Manage stock ordering and linen control
• Provide hands-on support to the team as required

Job description

As Head Housekeeper, you will lead our busy Housekeeping team and ensure thousands of guests experience wonderful stays in immaculate rooms Your day to day;

• Implementation of the required standards of cleanliness and presentation of rooms
• Mentor your team to ensure they provide the highest standards and attention to detail at all times
• Responding to guest requests and issues in a professional manner and rectifying any problems as soon as possible
• Ensuring the team are completing their work within a set time frame.
• Ensuring the property procedures are followed by the team
• Carrying out induction and training of new team members
• Control of stock ordering and linen management
• Hands on to support the team as required
