Job summary

Zizzi in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head Chef to drive our open kitchen, set the standard, and inspire your team to thrive while partnering with the General Manager to own food quality and financial results.

You’ll lead a high-volume kitchen across dine-in and delivery, recruit and train a skilled team, ensure safety and cleanliness, control costs and labour, and deliver a standout restaurant experience with bold Italian cooking.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience running a team in a high-volume kitchen.
• Experience managing costs, stock and labour budgets.
• Ability to lead during busy times, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• People person who can motivate and develop their team.
• Uncompromising eye for kitchen cleanliness and food safety.
• Passion for Italian food and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead your kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality - every plate, every service.
• Flawlessly manage high-volume delivery channels alongside a busy dine-in restaurant.
• Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team.
• Act as a role model for safety, ensuring kitchen cleanliness and food safety.
• Take ownership of kitchen performance, mastering costs, labour and service metrics.
• Work with the General Manager to drive commercial results and standout dining experiences.
