Job summary

Zizzi is seeking an Assistant Head Chef in the United Kingdom to lead shifts, run the pass, and inspire the team during high-volume periods. You’ll partner with the Head Chef to balance a buzzing dining room with delivery channels, and grow within the business.

You should be hands‑on, have strong leadership, and a passion for Italian cuisine. Our fast-paced kitchen rewards initiative and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen in high-volume environments.
• Love of Italian food with high standards.
• Ability to lead shifts and motivate a team.
• Calm, organized approach during busy times.
• Understanding of stock, wastage and labour control.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen and run the pass in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Deliver consistent food quality across dine-in and delivery.
• Support management by meeting kitchen performance metrics (stock, labour, prep, cost).
• Coach and develop junior chefs to build confidence and teamwork.
• Model safety and hygiene for kitchen cleanliness and compliance.
