Job summary

Zizzi in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Head Chef to lead shifts in a high-volume open kitchen. You’ll partner with the Head Chef, run the pass, and inspire the team during busy periods while balancing dine-in and delivery orders.

You’ll be hands-on, ensure flawless food quality, coach junior chefs, manage stock, labour and prep, and uphold food safety and cleanliness. The role offers opportunities to grow toward Head Chef and includes flexible hours and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen and run the pass in the Head Chef's absence, keeping service flawless, fast, and on point.
• Deliver exceptional food quality and consistency across dine‑in and delivery orders.
• Support management by hitting kitchen KPIs with stock, labour, prep, and cost control.
• Coach and develop junior chefs to build confidence, talent and team spirit.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness and food safety are always spot on.
