Job summary

Loungers plc's Argento Lounge is seeking a hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen, shaping menus and standards across all service. You will own shifts, coach your team and ensure every dish leaves the pass at the highest quality.

We’re looking for an experienced kitchen leader comfortable running a busy operation, driving GP and cost control, and developing staff with clear progression plans. A competitive package awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

Head Chef experience and hands-on leadership
Ability to recruit, coach and develop kitchen teams
Strong knowledge of menu specs and kitchen processes
Experience maintaining high food safety and quality standards
Commercial understanding of GP, labour and wastage

Responsibilities

Take full ownership of the Argento Lounge kitchen from open to close
Recruit, develop and coach kitchen staff at all levels
Ensure consistency with menu specs and kitchen processes
Own site-level action plans on food wait times, NSF standards, ordering, stock counts and cleaning
Deliver on kitchen KPIs—quality, wait times, wastage and GP
Schedule fair rotas in line with bookings
Collaborate with front of house to build a one-team culture
