Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a hands-on Head Chef to lead the Bruno Lounge kitchen. You’ll manage all shifts, develop a kitchen team and ensure top food quality. The role offers a 48-hour contract (40-hour option) with a competitive salary and an achievable bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of kitchen teams and staff development.
• Experience with fresh ingredients and high standards.
• Knowledge of GP, labour, stock and wastage KPIs.
• Ability to lead from the line and coach the team.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the kitchen, leading every shift from open to close, ensuring standards.
• Recruit, develop and coach your kitchen team at all levels with clear development plans.
• Know menu specs and kitchen processes inside out and spot issues before they happen.
• Own a site-level action plan with the General Manager covering stock, wait times and cleaning.
• Deliver on KPIs: food quality, wait times, wastage, food safety and GP.
• Schedule fair rotas aligned to sales and bookings forecast.
• Work closely with front of house to build a genuine one-team culture.
