Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a full-time Sous Chef to join the opening team at Volo Lounge, our brand-new café bar within one of the UK’s leading restaurant groups. You’ll support the Head Chef, lead shifts, and ensure every dish leaving the pass meets high standards.

We offer a competitive base salary with bonus, paid overtime, 48-hour contract (40-hour option available), free meals on shift, and 50% discount on food and drinks from day one.

Qualifications

• Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie ready to take their next step
• Lead by example in kitchen, maintain high standards on the pass
• Care about real cooking and attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts from prep through to final plate
• Support Head Chef and cover during absence
• Set tone for high standards on the pass (quality, pace, hygiene)
• Own key kitchen routines: prep, par, stock, waste, orders
• Coach and develop team to deliver great food every shift
