Coleg Cambria in Wales is seeking a Head Chef to lead and manage a team of chefs in a college fine dining restaurant, ensuring a high-quality dining experience with modern cooking methods. You will handle purchasing, budgeting, and staff allocation to reflect opening hours and budgets.

The role involves collaboration with curriculum and commercial teams to enhance student experiences, maintain hygiene standards, and promote sustainability across operations.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Cookery or equivalent.
• Basic & Intermediate Food Hygiene Qualifications.
• At least 3 years’ previous experience of working in a kitchen environment at a similar level.
• Track record of working in excellent catering establishments.
• Excellent kitchen management skills combined with outstanding cookery and purchasing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Chefs and Kitchen Team in the college fine dining restaurant.
• Oversee purchasing, budgeting and food cost control to maintain margins.
• Collaborate with curriculum and commercial teams to enhance student experience.
