Job summary

Affidea UK & Ireland is opening its first ambulatory clinic in Wimbledon, a 33,000 sq ft centre offering diagnostic imaging, outpatient services and theatres. We are hiring Healthcare Assistants to join during this ground‑breaking opening, in Urgent Care and Theatres and Outpatients.

This role offers the chance to become an integral part of a growing multidisciplinary team within a modern, patient‑focused facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Health Care Assistant roles.
• Exposure to Urgent Care, Outpatients or Theatre settings.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking basic patient observations (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation).
• Support Urgent Care, Theatres or outpatient teams.
• Assist in Outpatients with clinic preparation, patient preparation and room turnover.
• Support Theatres with patient preparation, safe transfers and positioning.

Located in the Wimbledon Quarter Shopping Centre in Southwest London, our first UK clinic is a 33,000 sq ft ambulatory diagnostic centre bringing together advanced diagnostics, outpatient services and theatres under one roof. Services include a Private GP, an Express Care minor injuries unit, consultant and treatment rooms, multimodality advanced diagnostic imaging (3T MRI, 1.5T MRI, CT, X-Ray and DEXA), surgical theatres and inpatient ward facilities.

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our team at the very opening of the clinic.

What will the duties include?

• Undertaking basic patient observations (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation), recognising a deteriorating patient, and escalating appropriately to the supervising clinician
• Supporting the Urgent Care, Theatres or outpatient teams
• Assisting in Outpatients with clinic preparation, patient preparation and chaperoning across consultant and treatment rooms, and turning rooms around between appointments
• Supporting Theatres with patient preparation, safe transfers and positioning, chaperoning.

What we need from you?

• Previous experience in Health Care Assistant roles.
• Prior exposure to Urgent Care, Outpatients or a Theatre setting
