Job summary

Affidea UK & Ireland is opening a new ambulatory diagnostic centre in Wimbledon, London, and is seeking Urgent Care Doctors to join the ground-up team. You will deliver high-quality care for minor injuries and illnesses alongside nurses and radiologists.

We welcome applicants with MRCEM or MRCGP, ST3+ with NHS A&E/Urgent Care registrar experience, and a proven track record of clinical leadership, patient-centred care, and strong communication. Both part-time and full-time positions are available.

Qualifications

• MRCEM or MRCGP required or equivalent.
• ST3+ or equivalent, with a minimum of three years' NHS experience as an A&E/Urgent Care registrar.
• Special interest in Emergency Medicine and ability to lead a small team.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat adults and children with minor injuries and illnesses.
• Manage patient complaints.
• Maintain a high standard of patient care through professional education and development.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing and wound care.
• Provide patient education on injury prevention and management.
• Collaborate with nurses and radiologists to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Located in the Wimbledon Quarter Shopping Centre in Southwest London, our first UK clinic is a 33,000 sq ft ambulatory diagnostic centre bringing together advanced diagnostics, outpatient services and theatres under one roof. Services include a Private GP, an Express Care minor injuries unit, consultant and treatment rooms, multimodality advanced diagnostic imaging (3T MRI, 1.5T MRI, CT, X-Ray and DEXA), surgical theatres and inpatient ward facilities.

Urgent Care Doctors

Our Urgent Care doctors are responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to patients with minor injuries and illnesses, combining strong clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to patient-centred care.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join us at the very opening of the clinic and play a key role in shaping our Express Care service from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat both adults and children presenting with minor injuries and illnesses.
• Manage patient complaints
• Responsible for the maintenance of a high standard of patient care which is achieved through professional education and development.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing and wound care. .
• Provide patient education on injury prevention and management.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and radiologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Our Express care is open from Monday to Saturday 10am to 8pm

We are looking for both part time and full time Urgent Care Doctors.
