Job summary

Flexzo Ai is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our clinical team supporting outpatient clinics across NHS and private services on various sites. The permanent position offers variety, clinical exposure and the chance to work with a multidisciplinary team.

You will undertake patient observations, assist with phlebotomy, ECGs and wound care, while ensuring high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Care Certificate
• Minimum of one year's experience as a Healthcare Assistant
• Phlebotomy experience or training
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills with a patient-centred approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• IT literacy
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel between sites and work weekends on a rota basis

Responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of outpatient clinics and patient pathways
• Undertake patient observations including blood pressure, height, weight and urinalysis
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
• Assist with ECGs, wound care, dressing changes and suture removal
• Chaperone patients during examinations and procedures
• Support clinicians during minor surgery and specialist outpatient clinics
• Prepare and maintain clinical rooms, equipment and stock
• Record patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality
• Assist with reception duties when required
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, CQC and Health & Safety standards
• Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives and mandatory training

We are recruiting a compassionate and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join a growing clinical team supporting outpatient clinics across a variety of specialties.
