Job summary

Greensafe IT is seeking a detail-oriented Hardware Assessment Co-Ordinator to join our Internal Engineering Department. This role acts as the first-stage filter for incoming IT hardware devices, ensuring only those needing full engineer review reach the team.

You will analyse system-generated reports and determine the appropriate pathway for each device. While not requiring hands-on repair work, an interest in laptop components and related hardware is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a methodical, process-driven approach.
• Ability to interpret information and make evidence-based decisions.
• Good communication skills for liaising with internal stakeholders.
• Interest in IT hardware components, especially laptop parts.
• Experience in technical, operations or quality-control environments is beneficial.
• Experience or understanding of refurbishment, warranty or repair processes would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret automated diagnostic reports for a high volume of incoming IT hardware devices.
• Make accurate decisions on the correct workflow pathway for each device based on report findings.
• Identify devices that do not need full engineering intervention, helping reduce unnecessary workload for engineers.
• Maintain high accuracy and consistency in assessments to ensure optimal productivity throughout the engineering team.
• Monitor and meet specific KPIs related to device throughput, accuracy, and decision quality.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and team leads to refine decision‑making criteria and improve overall department performance.
• Escalate unclear or unusual cases promptly to senior engineering staff.
• Provide feedback on recurring diagnostic issues, misreported errors, or opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist in maintaining documentation, workflows, and internal reporting systems as required.
• Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with internal processes and policy.
