Job summary

JG Foods t/a Grape Tree Limited in Cwmbran is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead our CWMBRAN store on a 35-hour week. You will deliver fast, friendly service, control stock, supervise staff, and maintain store standards.

You will report to the Retail Operations Manager, handle till operations, pricing, promotions, and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety rules. Flexibility to work across store hours is essential.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service, ideally with experience in food retail.
Excellent staff supervision and organisational skills.
Organised & practically minded, be able to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
Experience in Retail Store Supervisor/Manager, Food Retail, Supermarket, Customer Service, Convenience Store, etc.

Responsibilities

Provide fast, efficient, pleasant and unrivalled customer service.
Ensure store is well stocked, clean and tidy and that customers leave with a lasting image.
Strong understanding of stock control: ordering goods, deliveries, banking monies.
Be a hands-on manager and operate the till according to company instructions.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout the store.
Adhere to company rules and ensure smooth store operations.
Ensure staff cooperate to ensure smooth running of the store.
