Job summary

REED Technology is seeking a Build Engineer on a 3 Month Contract in Ipswich to configure, deploy and support IT equipment across multiple sites. You will help with end-user device rollouts, maintain asset records and provide excellent customer service.

The role focuses on hands-on setup of laptops, desktops and mobile devices, with opportunities to work with Intune and SCCM, Intune and Autopilot. A UK driving licence is useful for site travel.

Qualifications

• Experience within an IT support, deployment, build or endpoint environment.
• Experience configuring laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience using ITSM or service desk systems.
• Experience maintaining asset records and inventories.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Building, configuring and deploying laptops, desktops, mobile devices.
• Supporting device rollouts, refresh programmes and new starter equipment requests.
• Maintaining accurate asset records and inventory databases.
• Logging, tracking and resolving IT incidents and service requests.
• Supporting users with device setup and troubleshooting.
• Managing stock levels of hardware and peripherals.
• Updating service management and asset tracking systems.
• Providing guidance and training to end users on devices and applications.
• Escalating technical issues where appropriate.
