Job summary

REED Technology in Ipswich is seeking a pragmatic Build Engineer/Endpoint Configuration Analyst for a 3-month contract to deploy and support IT equipment across multiple sites. You will configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices while maintaining accurate asset inventories and delivering high-quality end-user support.

The role emphasizes hands-on deployment, device rollout support, and ensuring responsive service desk outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT device deployment and endpoint environments.
• Experience configuring laptops/desktops/mobile devices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ITSM or service desk tools.
• Experience maintaining asset records and inventories.
• Proficient with Microsoft technologies, including Office 365.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
• Full UK driving licence or ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Support device rollouts, refresh programmes and new starter requests.
• Maintain asset records and inventory databases.
• Log, track and resolve IT incidents and service requests.
• Assist users with device setup and troubleshooting.
• Manage stock levels of hardware and peripherals.
• Update service management and asset tracking systems.
• Provide guidance and training to end users on devices and apps.
• Escalate technical issues when needed.
