South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists to join the Blood Transfusion and Haematology teams. The role spans Band 5/6 with rotation across all sections, involvement in evaluating daily workload targets, and delivering high-quality diagnostic results.

The post requires IBMS accreditation, CPD, and flexibility to work across multiple sites within University Hospitals Tees, including nights and weekends after training.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with appropriate experience.
• IBMS Specialist Portfolio for Band 6 or working towards it.

Responsabilités

• Rotate through all sections in the department to gain a wide range of experience.
• Take a leading role to achieve daily workload targets with effective communication.
• Analyse pathology specimens and provide technically accurate results.
• Support integration of Haematology into Pathology from staff, IT and technical perspectives.
• Work across TVPS sites as required, including night shifts after training.
• Participate in training and development of staff and trainees.
