You will perform routine and specialist analyses, ensure quality control, and work across multiple sites within the NHS framework. HCPC registration and NHS experience are required, with driving licence desirable for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
• Minimum of 2 years NHS experience in Haematology/Blood Transfusion.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• UK driving licence desirable for travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory Testing: Perform routine and specialist analytical testing on biological samples in Haematology and Blood Transfusion.
• Quality Control: Ensure all work meets current policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient diagnosis and care.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports, and documentation.
• Equipment Management: Oversee laboratory equipment and ensure appropriate stock and maintenance.
• Training Support: Provide guidance and support to junior staff and laboratory assistants.
• Service Development: Contribute to continuous improvement, research, and development within the department.
