Away Resorts in the New Forest region is seeking a Guest Services Assistant to welcome guests from check-in to check-out and help with bookings. You’ll need a friendly, proactive approach and the ability to resolve guest queries to ensure they have their best holiday ever.

This seasonal, on-park role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with opportunities for progression and on-park discounts, staff benefits and a supportive team environment.

Who we are?

Sandy Balls Holiday Village is a world away from your day to day, with more trees than you can well, shake a stick at. What you’ll be doing:

Working as part of our slightly bonkers team of holiday heroes, you will be helping the Guest Services Manager to run the Guest Services department.

This will see you spending lots of your time with guests; meeting and greeting, checking them in, making holiday bookings, and resolving their complaints so that they walk away with a smile, and who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person.

One more thing holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on evenings, weekends and bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need:

• Customer service skills and experience are a must! Preferably in the hospitality sector.

Match that with a confident, outgoing personality, incredible organisation skills and a high degree of resilience under pressure, and you’re most of the way there. You will also be comfortable multi-tasking, working as part of a team and solving problems using your own initiative.

A key part of your job will be to ensure changeover days are seamless. As well as qualities we’ve already mentioned, you will have great communication skills, as you will be dealing with different departments and will need to resolve issues, get results and pass on correct information.
