Job summary

Wotton House is seeking a Reception Supervisor to lead the Reception team and deliver a warm, memorable guest experience from arrival to departure.

You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, supervise shifts, and support the Reception Manager in maintaining high standards and professional, personal guest service across all touchpoints. Previous hospitality and supervisory experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience, ideally in hotel Reception or Front Office.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
• Comfortable with a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Experience with Opera PMS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operation of Reception and shifts.
• Lead, motivate and support the Reception team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Welcome guests and oversee seamless check-ins and check-outs.
• Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally, finding positive solutions.
• Support with team training, development and maintaining service standards.
• Ensure reservations, payments, billing and Reception administration are completed accurately.
• Manage shift handovers and ensure clear communication across the team.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, F&B and other departments for a seamless guest experience.
• Assist Reception Manager with daily operations, team performance and continuous improvements.
• Lead by example and bring the Wonderfully Wotton personality to every interaction.
