Job summary

ABM UK is seeking a Guest services host for The Corn Exchange in Manchester. You will greet guests, provide area information, answer calls, and manage cash with a focus on creating a welcoming, safe environment.

The role requires a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction. Ideal candidates have proven customer-facing experience, strong English communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• Excellent customer service skills and passion for exceeding guest expectations.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Must be able to work shifts at any time of the day, including weekends, event days and bank holidays.
• Have good telephone manner.
• Demonstrated experience in complaint handling.
• Good command of English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with change and able to embrace new ways of working.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, aligned with the mission to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their destination.
• Provide knowledge about local area, attractions and facilities.
• Answer incoming calls and provide information.
• Responsible for cash float.
• Build relationships and loyalty with guests and partners.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing by following crisis and emergency procedures.
• Maintain personal hygiene and professional grooming.
• Facilitate inter-departmental communication to improve guest satisfaction.
• Ensure KPIs are delivered and met.
• Adhere to data protection protocols (GDPR).
