Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous reception experience within a hotel.
• Guestline experience is beneficial but training is provided.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A professional and welcoming approach.
• Ability to remain organised and calm in a busy environment.
• Confident working with guests and colleagues across all departments.

Responsibilities

• Checking guests in and out
• Taking room reservations and allocating rooms for walk‑in guests
• Handling guest enquiries and resolving complaints professionally
• Upselling upgraded rooms and promoting other hotel services
• Coordinating room status updates with housekeeping
• Communicating check‑outs, late check‑outs, early check‑ins and special requests
• Processing room charges, balancing and banking
• Operating the switchboard
• Checking function sheets and liaising with all departments
• Using Guestline to support day‑to‑day reception operations
