Job summary

Gorse Hill Hotel in Surrey seeks a friendly Hotel Receptionist to welcome guests, check in/out and promote the hotel's facilities. You will handle calls, bookings and enquiries with warm professionalism; Opera experience is a plus, and full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel reception and delivering guest-focused service.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Knowledge of Opera System is advantageous with full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Ensure service to guests is personal and at a 4-star standard.
• Build relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits.
• Communicate effectively with all hotel departments.
• Check in and check out guests, including taking payments and reconciling banking.
• Handle guest comments or complaints and pass to Front of House Manager.
• Promote the hotel facilities and services to guests.
• Know reception procedures and strive for smooth operations.
