Job summary

Bury Council Leisure is recruiting a part-time Concierge Assistant for Radcliffe Hub, a flagship community leisure venue in Radcliffe. The role centres on welcoming customers, guiding them through digital booking and memberships, and maintaining a friendly, efficient service across evenings and weekends.

The post requires warmth, enthusiasm and comfort with technology, with safeguarding responsibilities including an enhanced DBS check. Training and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer care and making people feel welcome.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in front-facing customer environments.
• Comfort with online/digital systems and self-service tech.
• Ability to stay calm and handle challenging situations with diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and set the tone from first contact.
• Help customers navigate new digital booking platforms and memberships.
• Support a busy facility with a positive, professional manner.
• Assist with day-to-day operations and customer queries.
