Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a front-of-house receptionist to warmly greet guests and manage check-ins at our Newcastle upon Tyne properties. You will register guests, handle payments, and answer questions about facilities and local attractions, ensuring a smooth guest experience.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, calmness under pressure, and a willingness to learn within a supportive team. Prior 3/4-star hotel experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and guest-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Clear, confident communication with guests and colleagues.
• Composure under pressure in a busy hotel environment.
• Experience in 3/4-star hotels is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests on arrival at the hotel.
• Register guests and process payments efficiently.
• Answer inquiries about facilities and local attractions.
• Ensure security of room keys and access control.
• Update guest information in the computer system.
• Take and confirm reservations for guests.
