Job summary

Google is seeking a Security Operations leader to oversee the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in London. You will lead incident response, manage shifts, and collaborate with Facilities Management to design risk assessments and security strategies while maintaining exceptional customer service.

You will supervise reporting, triage threats, and drive modernization through AI-focused initiatives, all within a 24/7 security ecosystem that protects Googlers and assets globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in law enforcement, intelligence or a military role or equivalent private sector experience.
• Experience in a security operations centre environment.
• Experience leading security operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift-level incident response and crisis management, triaging threats against the escalation and impact matrix.
• Direct live quality control for all shift deliverables, including report writing, verbal briefings, and incident standardization.
• Manage shift scheduling, ensure operational coverage, and deputize for GSOC Operations Managers.
• Identify training gaps, lead regional training initiatives, and advocate AI innovation to advance GSOC capabilities.
• Analyze, develop, and strengthen GSOC processes to support integration across the ecosystem.
